The West Central Community Development Group is actively seeking a passionate and community-driven individual to assume the role of Community Liaison in the vibrant West Central Corridor of ABQ. As a key player in the revitalization efforts, the Community Liaison will engage with local businesses, city and county officials, and neighborhood associations to foster positive transformation.


Responsibilities include conducting surveys with area businesses, capturing visual records through photography, and creating compelling social media content to enhance community visibility. The position involves coordinating and organizing community meetings with elected officials and departments, as well as facilitating educational forums to promote collaboration and understanding. Additionally, the Community Liaison will work closely with neighborhood associations and coalitions, planning and hosting monthly meetings involving city, state, and county representatives.


Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in community development, public relations, or a related field, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in community engagement, event organization, and proficiency in social media platforms is essential. The West Central Community Development Group invites applications for the position of Community Liaison. As a vital contributor to the revitalization efforts in the West Central Corridor, the Community Liaison will actively engage with local businesses, city and county officials, and neighborhood associations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Business Engagement:

  • Conduct surveys with area businesses to gather valuable insights.

  • Capture and maintain a visual record by taking pictures of businesses.

  1. Social Media Content Creation:

  • Develop engaging and informative social media content for businesses within the West Central Corridor.

  • Regularly post content on various platforms to enhance community visibility.

  1. Community Meetings Organization:

  • Coordinate and organize community meetings involving city and county elected officials and departments.

  • Facilitate educational forums to foster collaboration and understanding.

  1. Neighborhood Association Collaboration:

  • Work closely with neighborhood associations and coalitions.

  • Plan and host monthly meetings involving city, state, and county elected officials and departments.
