Get ready to show your South Valley pride and join in the fun at the annual South Valley Pride Day Celebration! The festivities kick off on Sunday, April 23 with a parade at 11 a.m. followed by fiesta activities from noon to 4 p.m. at the Westside Community Center on 1250 Isleta Blvd. SW.
“This year we are celebrating the 30th Anniversary of South Valley Pride Day”, says Bernalillo County Commissioner Steven Michael Quezada. We are excited and proud to continue this tradition of the South Valley coming together to celebrate the accomplishments of South Valley residents and showcasing the pride of this great community.
Bernalillo County will be honoring outstanding citizens for their volunteer work and contributions to improving the quality of life in Bernalillo County. So keep an eye out for them at the event!
The parade will be a highlight of the day, featuring marching bands, cheer groups, dance groups, sports organizations, businesses, floats, horses, and vehicles. And don't miss out on the creative artisans, craftspeople, and local produce vendors who will be selling their wares at the event.
With all that fun in the sun, there will be plenty of food to keep our bellies full. So come hungry and enjoy the food trucks and vendors at this year's South Valley Pride Day Celebration.
